About Me

Thank you so much for visiting my site. The goal of this project is to provide you with some insight into who I am, and what I believe in as a teacher. If you have any questions please contact me through my email: Thanks, and enjoy!

As the page notes, my name is Caitlin. My most recent position was as a fifth grade teacher at a charter school in Northern Nevada. I grew up in a small town in Oregon and moved to Nevada to attend the University of Nevada, Reno. It was there that I fell in love with Nevada and I also met my future husband, Luis.

In my spare time, I enjoy doing a variety of crafting (such as sewing, knitting, cross-stitch and scrapbooking) and I’m a big reader. I also enjoy spending time with my husband and friends, watching movies and going on hikes.

One of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had was in High School when I was selected to be a Rotary International Exchange Student. I spent a year in Mexico and it was there that I became Bilingual and Biliterate in English and Spanish. Because I currently work at a Dual-Language Charter School, I am able to use those language skills to teach all the content areas (Math, Literacy, Social Studies and Science) in both languages. I feel that by being able to speak both languages has allowed me to connect with my students and their families.

I hope that this website will provide you some more information about me, and my teaching.
